VARIANCE REQUESTS:

VR1) PROFESSIONAL WINDOW TINTING- 99 CHESTNUT STREET - NO. ATTLEBORO

The Petitioner (Ms. Tammy Millet, Owner) requests a variance from 248 CMR (Code of Massachusetts Regulation) 10.00, the Uniform State Plumbing Code, Section 10.09 (1) (b) 1 to not be required to install floor drains and a gas/oil/sand separator at this location. The North Attleborough Board of Health supports the variance request.

VR2a) STATE PIER - 93 STATE PIER - NEW BEDFORD

The Petitioner (Christopher Garcia, P.E. Principal) requests a variance from 248 CMR (Code of Massachusetts Regulation) 10.00, the Uniform State Plumbing Code, Section 10.10 (18) Table 1 The petitioner requests a waiver to eliminate the requirement for the installation of showers in this building. As this is a State project, no Board of Health letter is required.

VR2b) STATE PIER - 93 STATE PIER - NEW BEDFORD

The Petitioner (Christopher Garcia, P.E. Principal) requests a variance from 248 CMR (Code of Massachusetts Regulation) 10.00, the Uniform State Plumbing Code, Section 10.09 (1) (a) & (b). The petitioner requests a waiver to eliminate the requirement to install floor drains and a gas/oil/sand separator in this building. As this is a State project, no Board of Health letter is required.

VR3) EDIBLE ARRANGEMENTS - 430 NORTH MAIN STREET - EAST LONGMEADOW

The Petitioner (Lewis Caputo) requests a variance from 248 CMR (Code of Massachusetts Regulation) 10.00, the Uniform State Plumbing Code, Section 10.09 (2). The petitioner requests a waiver to eliminate the requirement to install a grease interceptor at this location. The East Longmeadow Board of Health approved on the recommendation of the Plumbing Inspector, and Health Inspector the variance request.

VR4) MALDEN HOUSING AUTHORITY - 58 & 68 WESTCOTT STREET - MALDEN

The Petitioner (Mike Perkins, Superintendent) requests a variance from 248 CMR (Code of Massachusetts Regulation) 10.00, the Uniform State Plumbing and Fuel Gas Code, Section 10.06 (2) (m) and (2) (o) to allow PVC piping for interior drains and PEX-style tubing for domestic hot and cold water lines in common buildings at this property. The Malden Board of Health requests the variance not be granted. Plumbing Inspector Richard Gillis left a voice mail indicating he had no concerns with this variance request.

VR5)a SWASEY FIELD - BLAISDELL STREET - HAVERHILL

The Petitioner (Vincent Ouellette, Director Recreation Department) requests a variance from 248 CMR (Code of Massachusetts Regulation), the Uniform State Plumbing Code, Section 10.10 (5) (f) to allow the installation of an Alternative Technology Toilet in lieu plumbed fixtures. The Haverhill Board of Health voted unanimously to support this variance request.

VR5)b CASHMAN FIELD - HILLDALE AVENUE - HAVERHILL

The Petitioner (Vincent Ouellette, Director Recreation Department) requests a variance from 248 CMR (Code of Massachusetts Regulation), the Uniform State Plumbing Code, Section 10.10 (5) (f) to allow the installation of an Alternative Technology Toilet in lieu plumbed fixtures. The Haverhill Board of Health voted unanimously to support this variance request.

VR5c) RIVERSIDE PARK - LINCOLN AVENUE - HAVERHILL

The Petitioner (Vincent Ouellette, Director Recreation Department) requests a variance from 248 CMR (Code of Massachusetts Regulation), the Uniform State Plumbing Code, Section 10.10 (5) (f) to allow the installation of an Alternative Technology Toilet in lieu plumbed fixtures.
