VARIANCE REQUESTS:

VR 1 Claire's - Space #212 Legacy Place - 950 Providence Highway - Dedham

The Petitioner (Scott Scanlon, Construction Project Manager) requests a variance from 248 CMR (Code of Massachusetts Regulation) 10.00, the Uniform State Plumbing Code, Section 10.1(18)(i)4., to install one unisex employee restroom in lieu of the required two. The Dedham Board of Health is not opposed to the granting of this variance request..

VR 2 Residence - 213 Fox Hill Road - Burlington

The Petitioner (Mr. William Boivin, owner) requests a variance from 248 CMR (Code of Massachusetts Regulation) 3.00, the Uniform State Plumbing Code, Section 3.04 (1) to allow the installation of a non-approved Kraus glass vessel sinks. The petitioner provided a copy of the IAPMO "Certificate of Listing" for these products. The Burlington Board of Health endorses this variance request.

VR 3 DOTTIE'S COFFEE LOUNGE - 444 NORTH STREET - PITTSFIELD

The Petitioner (Ms. Jessica Ruffo) requests a variance from 248 CMR (Code of Massachusetts Regulation) 10.00, the Uniform State Plumbing Code, Section 10.10(18) (b) 2 and Table 1. to not require additional restroom facilities to accommodate additional seating for the proposed seasonal outdoor café. The Pittsfield Board Health supports this variance request.

VR 4 KEN & SUE BOYER - MILK BARN - 561 OLD COUNTY ROAD - WESTPORT

The Petitioner (Mr. Bill Battles, Village P & H, Inc) requests a variance from 248 CMR (Code of Massachusetts Regulation) 10.00, the Uniform State Plumbing Code, Section 10.10(18) to not be required to install toilet facilities in the milk barn. The Massachusetts Department of Agriculture designed the Septic system to allow milk waste and was not designed for human waste. A restroom is located within 275' of the barn. The Westport Board of Health voted to approve not requiring a restroom.
