Pursuant to M.G.L. c. 112, §175 and c. 30A, §2, the Board of Registration of Real Estate Appraisers will hold a public hearing relative to proposed promulgation of amendments to the Board’s regulations at 264 CMR 2.00 (General Provisions), 4.00 (Renewal Procedures and Continuing Education Requirements), 6.00 (Practice of Real Estate Appraisal) and 9.00 (Course Approval Requirements for Providers of Primary and Continuing Education). By the proposed amendments, the Board is proposing to provide clearer rules for the supervision of trainees and other individuals seeking to upgrade their licenses as well as to harmonize the regulations with Chapter 447 of the Acts of 2010, which changed the license cycle from three years to two years.
A small business impact statement is on file with the Secretary of State’s Office regarding these changes. The hearing will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 19, 2012 at 1000 Washington Street, 1st Floor, in Boston. Interested Parties will be given an opportunity to present testimony orally or in writing at this hearing.
