Director Lindstrom Welcomes You to the New Office of Consumer Affairs Website

Easy Navigation and Access puts Consumers' Needs First

Citing consumers' growing needs for quick and easy access to timely consumer protection information, Massachusetts Consumer Affairs Director Beth Lindstrom announced the July 13 th launch of the new website for the Office of Consumer Affairs and Business Regulation.

"This new website provides consumers with everything our office and agencies have to offer them; the latest breaking consumer issues, easy-to-find consumer advice and access to interactive tools that allow you to register for programs aimed at protecting your interests and assets," said Consumer Affairs Director Beth Lindstrom.

The new Consumer Affairs website joins the Mass.gov portal, which this year was recognized by Governing Magazine Source Book as the nation's best state government website. The Consumer Affairs homepage will regularly feature breaking consumer news and advice as well as press releases issued by the Office of Consumer Affairs and its agencies.

From the homepage, consumers can link directly to the following valuable consumer protection services:

  • Sign-up with the Do Not Call Registry
  • Register a Complaint Against a Licensed Professional
  • Verify a Home Improvement Contractor's Registration and Complaint History
  • Check the History of Your Used Car

The Office of Consumer Affairs is committed to regularly providing consumers with timely, accurate and helpful information. Please e-mail us your comments, suggestions or consumer questions at the link under "Key Resources" to the left or call our toll-free Consumer Hotline at (888) 283-3757.
