GAAP Reporting Due
The FY2012 Departmental GAAP Reporting is due on Monday, August 6. Please see FY2012-26: FY2012 GAAP Instructions for additional information.

Fringe Benefit, Payroll Tax, Indirect Cost Charges for Accounting Period 1 
The fringe benefit, payroll tax and indirect cost chargebacks for Accounting Period 1 (July), FY2013 will be run this Saturday, August 4. All eligible expenditures processed during Accounting Period 1 will be subject to these assessments.

Departments should ensure that the budget structure tables for appropriated (payroll tax only), federal grants and other non-budgetary accounts are properly established for these charges to post without rejecting under object codes D09 (fringe benefits and payroll taxes) and E16 (indirect costs).

MMARS Hint of the Week - Encumbrance Activity Report
Reports NPR605SA/NPR605S0 provide a general inventory of encumbrances that display original and modified encumbrance amounts at the document line level, amounts paid to date, expenditure refunds received, and any un-disbursed payments.

The reports display the encumbrance document identification number and line number, vendor name and number, original and modified encumbrance amounts, object code, program code, out-year obligation amounts, and acceptance dates for last modification and payment actions. These reports run at the end of the month and have a retention period of 3 years.
