This memo announces the launch of the new Comptroller Intranet on November 19, 2010.
On November 19 th, the new Comptroller Intranet will be available to all State Employees. The new Intranet benefits employees by decreasing the number of logins required, streamlining navigation by making many commonly viewed documents available with a single click on the Intranet home page, and enhancing the Commonwealth's ability to safeguard state and business resources by restricting access to certain documents to State Employees only.
Several pages and documents currently residing on the CTR Web Portal and PartnerNet will move to the new Comptroller Intranet. The current "How-To" section of the CTR Portal (which stores all Job Aids and Document Profiles), links to all Internal Applications, Reports for Departments (such as Draft Transactions and Federal Grants Reports currently stored in PartnerNet), and the no-login-required "Vendor Lookup" feature currently on PartnerNet will all move to the Intranet.
The new Comptroller Intranet will integrate seamlessly with the public CTR Web Portal by providing "Quick Links" to commonly visited areas such as Policies, Forms, the Expenditure Classification Handbook, and
Help Desk contact information. Navigational links will allow users to move easily from any page of the Intranet back to the Comptroller Intranet Home and to the CTR Web Portal. Additionally, starting on November 19 th, there will be a link at the top of the CTR Web Portal linking back to the Comptroller Intranet Home.
The new Intranet will be accessed through the button on the CTR home page currently labeled "Internal Applications". On November 19 th, the "Internal Applications" button will be renamed "Comptroller Intranet". The new Intranet will be accessible only to individuals with direct or VPN access to the state network (MAGNet).
An overview webcast to familiarize users with the new Intranet will run on November 19 th from 2:00-2:30 P.M. and will be repeated Tuesday the 23 rd from 2:00-2:30 P.M. Register for the webcasts on the Comptroller's Training/Meeting Schedule.
