Maurice A. Williams (Tony) received an Associate of Arts in Human Services Administration from the Urban College of Boston in 2008 and he is continuing his degree work at the Boston University School of Management - Institute for Nonprofit Management & Leadership Program . He was the recipient of the MacArthur Williams Jr. 2011 Community Service Award, 2008 Vivienne S. Thomson Memorial Scholarship Award for perseverance and overcoming great obstacles. Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission's 2006 Independent Living Center Distinguished Service Award in recognition of his service and commitment to the independent living community. Tony worked in several capacities, including Executive Director, at the Multi-Cultural Independent Living Center of Boston. Tony is a member of the Massachusetts Statewide Independent Living Council as well as the Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission's Un-served and Under-served Committee
