| The
Public Employee Retirement Administration Commission
(PERAC) schedules medical panel examinations of public
sector employees. PERAC is recruiting Massachusetts
board certified cardiologists, oncologists, pulmonary
specialists, and orthopedic specialists to examine individuals
who have applied for or are receiving disability benefits
from one of the Commonwealth's 106 retirement systems.
Physicians are asked to perform objective evaluations
to determine disability, whether a disability is permanent,
and whether it is causally related to the member's job.
Physicians may also determine whether a disability retiree
may be restored to employment. |
