This local option provides for an additional yearly allowance for veterans or $15 for each year of creditable service up to $300. There are two provisions, one to accept the increase prospectively and one to accept payment retroactively to the date of the member's retirement. These local options are to be accepted separately.

• Section 2 of Chapter 157 of the Acts of 2005 provides for retroactive payment of the increase to the date of the member's retirement.
