State permit tracking

The Massachusetts Permit Regulatory Office (MPRO) monitors the progress of housing and economic development projects as they advance through Massachusetts Environmental Policy Act (MEPA) reviews and other State permitting processes.



Building, construction and equipment operation and maintenance licenses, permits and regulations

Commercial fishing permits and regulations

All persons who land and sell finfish, shellfish, lobsters, edible crabs or other living marine resources in Massachusetts must have a commercial fisherman permit from the Division of Marine Fisheries and must sell only to licensed Massachusetts dealers.

Educator licenses

The Department of Elementary and Secondary Education issues three kinds of Educator Licenses: Academic (PreK - 12) licenses for teachers, administrators, specialist teachers, and professional support personnel are generally required for employment; Vocational Technical Education licenses for teachers, administrators, and cooperative education coordinators are generally required for employment in state-approved vocational technical education programs; Adult Basic Education (ABE) licenses are voluntary -- by statute, this license is not required but employers have the option of using it as part of their hiring criteria.
