Day care referral program

The Child Care Resource and Referral Agency (CCR&R) provides resources and referral information for early education and child care services, and afterschool programs throughout Massachusetts. Call the program's staff at 1-800-345-0131 for referrals to a variety of child care centers or family day care homes, or use the online search tool to find services near you.

Head Start program

Head Start provides comprehensive services to prepare children of low-income families for future success in learning. Center-based, family child care and home visiting options are available on a part-day, part year or full-time basis. Search for a Head Start program in your area, and find out how to enroll your child.

Early intervention

Early Intervention (EI) in Massachusetts is a statewide, integrated developmental service available to families of children between birth and three years of age. Children may be eligible for EI if they have developmental difficulties due to identified disabilities, or if typical development is at risk due to certain birth or environmental circumstances.

Preschool age children with disabilities

Preschool age children with disabilities are eligible to receive a free and appropriate public education in the least restrictive environment.
