The Massachusetts Recovery & Reinvestment Office (MassRRO) was established by the Patrick-Murray Administration to manage the federal stimulus grants directed to state agencies in Massachusetts. Headed by Jeffrey Simon, the MassRRO is responsible for overseeing the implementation of the American Recovery & Reinvestment Act of 2009, including:
- project prioritization
- communications, civic engagement, and transparency
- federal and state reporting
- state agency coordination, and
- compliance and oversight management, including fraud, waste, and abuse awareness and prevention.
The MassRRO reports to the Governor and the Secretary of Administration & Finance.
