Stimulus-funded green improvements celebrated at drinking water and wastewater treatment facilities in MA
The Patrick-Murray Administration and the US Environmental Protection Agency presented environmental awards to 21 drinking water and wastewater treatment facilities across MA that have implemented innovative "green infrastructure" improvements that will cut their operating costs and significantly reduce their carbon emissions. Nearly all these projects benefitted from Recovery Act funds. Read more.
Stimulus Stories: Energy efficiency, with a little help from the sun -- and stimulus
The Recovery Act has provided approximately $32 million for solar projects across the state, and has essentially revived the solar industry in Massachusetts. This is in evident in the town of Milton which received $371K in stimulus funds, enabling the town to install three solar projects on two of its schools and its town hall. Read more.
