State workforce training partnership programs get stimulus award
Eight workforce training partnership programs across the Commonwealth will share a $1.2 million stimulus award. Each of the programs awarded partners with educational institutions to provide practical application for classroom learning, and ensure that participants are able to master the skills they need to compete in today's workforce. Stimulus Stories: For working parents, child care info a phone call away
United Way of Tri County is using its $150K stimulus-funded child care development grant to help the state's Department of Early Education and Care improve their phone communications and ensure that parents are getting the information on child care that they need. The non-profit agency is using its Mass211 call center to do it. Read more.
