Stimulus-funded OpenCape broadband initiative preparing to launch

OpenCape, the stimulus-funded broadband initiative for southeastern Massachusetts, is working on the network's design, leasing poles and getting ready to bid construction of the network. The initiative received $32 million in stimulus funds and according to OpenCape President Dan Gallagher 400 jobs can be expected to be created. Read more.

The staff at Boston Healthcare for the Homeless Program believe that just because someone is homeless doesn't mean they shouldn't have access to quality health care. The 25-year old agency serves over 11,000 people a year and it is two stimulus grants that are helping them continue in their mission and help them do it better. Read more.
