East Boston neighborhood health center breaks ground on new stimulus funded facility

The East Boston Neighborhood Health Center broke ground on its new $20.7 million facility at 20 Maverick Square in East Boston. This is the first stimulus-funded health center project in the country to begin construction. The new 49,000 sf ambulatory care building received $12 million under the Recovery Act's Facility Investment Program. Read more.

Boston ABCD's Asset Development Program runs a stimulus-funded money management course that changes the way its students, who are mostly living below the poverty level, think about and manage their money -- and helps them get in charge of their finances. "I'm really impressed with how they want to make changes," says course teacher Danielle Banks of her students. Read more.
