Special Exhibit: The Faces of Economic Recovery

From May 17 through May 30, an exhibition highlighting real people across the Commonwealth who have been impacted by the Recovery Act will be shown in South Station. More Info.

Governor Deval Patrick on the huge mixed-use development project in Somerville that was just jump-started thanks to a $10 million loan from the state. Over $65 million in stimulus funding and state bond commitments will support the project's infrastructure improvements.

Haverhill Commuter Rail Project Moves Forward

The groundbreaking of the $17.4 million stimulus funded Haverhill Commuter Rail Project took place. The Recovery Act project will improve reliability and service for Haverhill commuter rail line customers and complements a $50 million stimulus-funded double-tracking and rail improvement project on the Fitchburg commuter rail line. Recovery Works: Bridge Rehabilitation Project Keeps Company -- and the People of Lawrence -- Above Water

A bridge first built in the 1930s under the New Deal -- or the "first stimulus program" -- is being rehabilitated under the current one. This stimulus-funded project on the Hampshire Street Bridge keeps contractor LM Holdings busy and restores a vital thoroughfare to Lawrence drivers and pedestrians.
