$4.1 mil in stimulus funds for broadband assistance to help MA vets and small businesses
Massachusetts received $4.1 million in stimulus funding to provide broadband assistance for veterans and small businesses, and also enhance mapping efforts to expand broadband infrastructure. The funding was awarded to the Massachusetts Broadband Institute, a division of the Massachusetts Technology Collaborative, through the National Telecommunications and Information Administration. $55 Mil in stimulus funds to support public higher education
Governor Deval Patrick directed an additional $51 million in stimulus funds to the state's 29 institutions of public higher education, bringing total recovery funding for public campuses this year to $71 million. Since 2008, the Governor has ensured higher education received more than $350 million from the Recovery Act. Read more.
