Opportunities for Individuals: Find a Job using JobQuest
Employers who create jobs using Recovery funding must post those job announcements to the Commonwealth's JobQuest system. A wide range of stimulus-related positions--ranging from career counselors to communication specialists are available. This system is constantly updated, so residents should check back for new opportunities.
Opportunities For Businesses: Search for Contracts
For the most up to date ARRA business opportunities , head to Comm-PASS, the Commonwealth's sole online procurement record site which supports all bid and grant records related to any ARRA funds distributed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Comm-PASS is available for use free of charge and provides you with the ability to search for a variety of contracts by either category or department.
Opportunities for Municipalities: Ethanol Expansion
The Department of Energy has released an FOA for about $5.5 million to increase the availability and use of potential gasoline/ethanol blends up to E85 (85% ethanol). Approximately 15-30 awards of between $50K to $200K will be made for refueling infrastructure projects, and approximately 2-5 awards of between $250K to $1M will be made for outreach projects. Eligible applicants are all types of domestic entities, including companies, non-profits, institutions of higher education, and local and state governments. The application deadline is October 4. General Program UpdatesEnergy: Deadline Approaches for Advanced Energy Manufacturing Tax Credit
The Manufacturing Tax Credit (MTC) provides a 30% credit for investments in new, expanded, or re-equipped advanced energy manufacturing projects. Up to $2.3 billion in MTCs will be allocated for advanced energy projects, which will support total capital investments of almost $7.7 billion in new renewable and advanced energy manufacturing projects. Preliminary applications are due to DOE September 16, 2009, followed by final applications due to DOE and IRS on October 16, 2009. Learn More >>
