Stimulus Funds boost Western Mass rail projectMassachusetts will receive an additional $2.8 million in stimulus funds which will be added to the $72.9 million high speed rail project along the Connecticut River rail line in Western Massachusetts. The funding was originally awarded to Wisconsin and Ohio but the incoming Governors of those states both indicated that they will not move forward with high speed rail projects.
