The Boston branch of the Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles is located at 630 Washington St. The new Boston office is located in the Liberty Tree Building, at the intersection of Washington and Essex Streets in the area historically known as Chinatown. The office is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Thursday until 7:00 p.m.
The Boston branch office continues to be a full service facility that allows customers to transact all RMV business and obtain information. Special services such as Suspension Hearings, Driver Control, and Medical Affairs are also housed at the Liberty Tree building.
The Liberty Tree building is easily accessible by public transportation or by car. MBTA bus service is available to the front of the building. The Chinatown subway stop (orange line) is beneath the building.
