The Registry of Motor Vehicles has always been focused on drivers and driving-driver's safety, driver's licenses, driver's vehicles. This holiday season, there's a different type of drive on the Registry's agenda: the annual Salvation Army Toy Drive.
From now to December 14th, customers can drop off toys at any of the Registry's 35 branches statewide.
"We're proud to be part of this program," said Registrar of Motor Vehicles Dan Grabauskas. "Hopefully we can duplicate last year's astounding success, when the generosity of Registry customers helped brighten the holiday season for thousands of children."
More than 2,400 toys were collected at the Registry's 35 branches last year, the largest single donation in Massachusetts Salvation Army Toy Drive History. Donated toys should be new, non-violent and unwrapped. They are given to children who live in the area where the donation is made.
