The Swift Administration has announced another way for people to save time when it comes to the Registry--a self-service system that will fax RMV forms and information sheets with just the press of a button. The "Fax on Demand" service is available on the Registry's automated, toll-free telephone line at 866-MASSRMV.
"This is another self-service option that will make Registry business more convenient," Registrar of Motor Vehicles Kim Hinden said. "We hope insurance agents, auto dealers, and other high-volume customers take advantage of the program, freeing up our telephone agents to deal with more complicated customer questions and keeping the lines short at our branches across Massachusetts."
Fax on Demand users first obtain a menu by calling the automated line. Once they have the directory of available forms, users make their selection and enter their fax number. In minutes the document is faxed to them. The forms are also available at the Registry's Web site, www.mass.gov/rmv.
Several other services are also available at 866-MASSRMV (866-627-7768), where customers can renew their registrations, book road tests, and hear wait times at Registry locations.
