Registry of Motor Vehicles salvage inspection sites in Bridgewater, Northborough and Revere will be closed Friday, September 6, due to the funeral of State Trooper Jeffrey T. Costa.
Trooper Costa, one of the Registry's salvage inspectors, died unexpectedly over the weekend, and his State Police colleagues who staff the inspection sites will attend the service Friday, meaning the three sites will be closed.
Anyone wishing to have a salvage inspection performed Friday should contact the Registry of Motor Vehicles at 617-351-4500 (from the 617 and 781 area codes) or 800-858-3926 (from all other Massachusetts area codes) to make alternate arrangements.
