New Law Regarding Surviving Spouses and Veteran Plates

Effective December 29th, 2006, a surviving spouse will be allowed to keep Veterans’ plates that were registered in the veteran’s name until the spouse either remarries, cancels the plate, or fails to renew the registration. This change is authorized by Chapter 309 of the Acts of 2006.
