RMV Expands Customer Services at Easthampton Branch

(Boston, MA)-The Registry of Motor Vehicles has doubled the work capacity at the Easthampton branch to better serve customers who are making the shift from the Hadley office which closed May 13, 2009. RMV Drives Home Safety Message with "Operation Graduation"

(Boston, MA)-RMV inspectors and local police surprised teenage drivers at 33 high schools today during a state-wide effort to get them to drive safer during the prom and graduation season. Dubbed "Operation Graduation", enforcement teams set up unannounced safety checks to reward teen drivers who were in compliance with the state's junior operator and safety belt laws and warn those in violation about the consequences. (Boston, MA)-In a cost-cutting measure that's expected to save thousands of taxpayer dollars, Registrar Rachel Kaprielian today unveiled a new look for Massachusetts motor vehicle registrations. Customers now have secure online access to driving records
(Boston, MA)-Massachusetts Registrar Rachel Kaprielian today announced that Massachusetts drivers will now be able to view their driving record online and have the ability to download or request a certified copy. The RMV added the driver record transaction to its growing list of "Express Lane" services on the Agency website at www.mass.gov/rmv.

RMV and Mass Courts Launch "E-Conciliation" for Criminal Drivers

(Boston, MA)-Registrar Rachel Kaprielian and District Court Chief Justice Lynda M. Connolly today announced the successful launch of a joint program to electronically transfer criminal dispositions from Massachusetts district courts to the RMV on a daily basis. The automated reporting program is designed to streamline a cumbersome administrative function at the courts and the RMV. It will significantly reduce delays in processing the information used to revoke driving privileges where such action is legally permissible.
