Statement Of Treasurer Steven Grossman On Expected Labor Resolution At Entergy’s Pilgrim Nuclear Power Plant

Treasurer Steven Grossman offered the following statement in response to the tentative agreement reached today between labor and management at the Pilgrim Nuclear Power Plant in Plymouth:

“For 36 years, I had the privilege of running a fourth-generation family business that has been a union shop since 1952.  In sixty years, the company has never had a strike, a lockout, or a single matter go to arbitration, a record of success driven by management never forgetting that respect toward all of its workers is the key to long-term success and stability.

“I’m pleased that this matter is close to being resolved, and I urge the management of Entergy to never forget the contributions of its employees and the fundamental respect those employees always deserve.”
