Free Training for First Responders & Healthcare Professionals on Dealing with a Veteran's Invisible Wounds

Calling all First Responders (including Police, Fire, EMTs, Nurses and Allied Health Professionals):

The Home Base Program is offering free, online, on demand, accredited, short training videos on PTSD, traumatic brain injury, substance abuse, identifying suicide risk, and understanding how military culture impacts care. The series is aimed at educating those who have regular contact with veterans, and have the opportunity to recognize those at risk or in need of service.

Each session is under an hour in length, includes firsthand accounts from Veterans, as well as a robust list of resources for further care. There are 380,000 Veterans currently living in Massachusetts. One in three Veterans suffer from an invisible wound of war. Help us improve the identification, care, and referral of those Veterans who are suffering. See the videos here.
