Cemeteries

There are two state veterans' cemeteries in Massachusetts (Agawam and Winchendon) where eligible veterans can be buried at no cost. There will be a nominal fee for the burial of spouses and eligible dependents.

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) operates national veterans' cemeteries. Massachusetts has one national veterans cemetery located in Bourne, on Cape Cod.

This toll free fax service is for ordering a headstone or marker from the National Cemetery Administration which will be placed in a private cemetery.
