Services
- All committal services conducted in the committal chapel
- No graveside services allowed
- Specific gravesites may not be reserved
- Cemetery policies, rules and regulations (including floral) are available at both cemetery offices.
Committal Services
A committal service for the veteran consists of opening and closing of the service held by cemetery staff, the folding and presenting of the United States flag by a member(s) of the branch of service in which the veteran served, and the playing of taps. Clergy is welcome for a 5-7 minute closure.
Committal services for the spouse or dependent child consists of opening and closing of the service held by cemetery staff, and the playing of a song such as "America the Beautiful." Clergy is welcome for a 5-7 minute closure.
Types of Burials and Markers
| Full casket burial. The US flag drapes the casket of the veteran. During the committal service this flag is folded and presented to the next-of-kin by a member(s) of the branch of service in which the veteran served. |
| Upright granite headstones for full casket burials or in-ground cremated remains burial. |
| Above ground columbarium niche for cremated remains with granite niche covers. |
Gravesite and Niche Locations
Gravesite and niche locations cannot be reserved. Assignment of graves and niches are without regard to military rank, race, creed, or gender of the qualifying service member and are assigned by next available location.
Headstone and Granite Niche Cover Inscription
Specified information is inscribed on headstones to read the name of the deceased, rank, branch of service, war era, and eligible awards, date-of-birth and date-of-death. Non-veteran spouses inscription reads: The wife or husband of, veteran's name, rank, branch of service, war era, date-of-birth and date-of-death. Dependent child inscription reads: The son or daughter of (see spouse's inscription).
Fees
No charge for veteran's initial burial.
Spouse/Dependent fees:
- $300 full casket burial
- $150 cremation burial
$200 fee for all disinterments.
Fees subject to change without notice.
