ADULT FAMILY CARE - Are you caring for a US Military veteran with whom you live? If so, financial reimbursement is available for the care you provide to qualified participants. The Adult Family Care program provides assistance to those who care for other adults in their home who are unable to live independently due to a medical, physical, cognitive or mental health condition. Those receiving care must be eligible for MassHealth. The care provider may not be a spouse or guardian of the individual receiving care. Case management and supports are provided by Adult Family Care staff.
HOME ASSISTANCE PROGRAM - This program offers daily assistance with the physical and social needs of elders and disabled adults living in designated housing units. For persons at risk of institutionalization, we provide important community living options that recognize and preserve the independence and good health of persons requiring supervision. The Home Assistance Programs also provides need assessments for a number of housing authorities, evaluating residents and their individual medical and social needs. Funding for program services is provided by the MassHealth.
BEHAVIORAL HEALTH COUNSELING - For those suffering from depression, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, or other behavioral health conditions, the Family Service Association offers comprehensive diagnosis and treatment by a skilled professional team of psychiatrists, psychologists, nurse practitioners, and licensed clinical social workers. Counseling is provided at the agency's two main clinic offices, as well as at several satellite locations and in clients' homes, schools, or offices.
