Ellen Quinn was appointed to the commission by House Speaker Robert A. DeLeo in October 2013. She currently works as the Speaker’s Events Coordinator, where she organizes the Speaker’s schedule, preps him for speaking engagements, and plans various events for the Massachusetts House of Representatives. Ellen has previously worked as an intern in the Obama White House and in the British Parliament. She is the recipient of the Northeastern University Political Science Department Experiential Education Award and the Massachusetts Democratic Party’s John F. Kennedy Scholarship. From a young age, Ellen has believed in the advancement of women, particularly in women’s leadership in politics and business. Ellen is a 2013 graduate of Northeastern University and also studied at the London School of Economics. She was raised in Quincy, Massachusetts and currently resides in Brookline.
