Lauren Scribi was appointed to the Commission in 2014 by Senate President Therese Murray. Now a resident of Quincy, Lauren was born and raised in Hanover. She graduated from the University of Vermont in 2008 with a double major in Political Science and History and was a member of the first graduating Honors College class. She also attended Kingston University London in England and graduated with a Master’s degree in Magazine Journalism in 2011.
Lauren currently works as the Executive Director of the Massachusetts Caucus of Women Legislators at the State House. In that capacity, she works with the fifty elected women legislators on women’s issues, policy and education. Prior to taking on this role in May 2014, she worked as the Legislative Aide to Representative Rhonda L. Nyman (D – Hanover) for over two years. Her main focus was constituent services, policy development and communications.
