HearingsThe Massachusetts Commission on the Status of Women holds public hearings around the state each year. The purpose of these hearings is for the MCSW Commissioners and staff to listen to the voices of women and girls within the Commonwealth regarding the status of their lives within Massachusetts. The Commission then writes a summary report of all the given testimony. A copy of each report is sent to the Commission's appointing authorities, and the legislators in the region where the hearing was held. In addition, the report is posted on this website. It is hoped that this information will be used to create changes in public policy and legislation in order to improve the status of women in Massachusetts. Additionally, a copy of each report is posted below for easy download. Paper copies can be requested from the Commission office by calling (617) 626-6520.
