Temporary suspension of camping reservations until July 1, 2020. Beginning Monday, June 22, new reservations will be accepted, on a limited basis.

Out of an abundance of caution due to COVID-19, the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation has announced the closure of all campgrounds until July 1, 2020.  

All existing reservations will be automatically cancelled and refunded in full.  Campers do not need to contact ReserveAmerica.  PLEASE DO NOT CANCEL YOUR OWN RESERVATION.  Refunds may take a few weeks to be processed and we thank you for your patience and understanding.​

Beginning at 9:00AM on Monday, June 22, new reservations will be accepted, on a limited basis, as we reopen most campgrounds on July 1. ​A temporary 90-day camping fee increase has been put in place for​ non-MA-residents.  To avoid long wait times, please make your reservation online at http://www.reserveamerica.com.

    2. Yurts
    3. Cabins
    4. Safari Field at Scusset Beach
    5. Pavilions
    6. Picnic Areas
    7. Meeting Rooms
  1. The following campgrounds will not be available for camping during the 2020 recreation season:
    1. Beartown State Forest
    2. Boston Harbor Islands State Park
    3. Federated Women's Club State Forest
    4. Mt. Greylock State Reservation
    5. Mt. Washington State Forest
    6. Waquoit Bay - Washburn Island
    7. Willard Brook State Forest
  1. Visitor Policy Update:
    1. For 2020, daytime visitors will not be allowed to the campgrounds.  Please do not invite any guests to your campsite for any reason​.  Only registered occupants, please.

We apologize for the inconvenience, but feel these are necessary steps for the health and safety of our visitors and staff. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we all work together to navigate during this unprecedented public health emergency.

In addition to the closure of campgrounds, Appalachian Trail shelters, campsites, and privies within the Massachusetts state parks system are also temporarily closed due to the spread of the COVID-19 virus. 

Please remember, camping is always prohibited other than on designated campsites,​ throughout state parks and along the 90-miles of the Appalachian Trail in Massachusetts.​
