RE:	2006 Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS) Coding Update (Revised Appendix E:  Oral Surgery Service Codes and Descriptions)


Introduction	
The federal government has revised the Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS) that is used for MassHealth billing.  This bulletin reflects revised changes to Appendix E: Oral Surgery Service Codes and Descriptions of the Dental Manual.  Providers will receive a transmittal letter an updated Appendix E of the Dental Manual at a later date.

Effective for dates of services on or after January 1, 2006, the following service codes have been deleted.
