RE:	2006 Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS) Coding Update 


Introduction

The federal government has revised the Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System HCPCS) for MassHealth billing.  This bulletin reflects revisions to the service codes and descriptions in Subchapter 6 of the Hearing Instrument Specialist Manual.		
	

Deleted Code

Effective for dates of services on or after January 1, 2006, the following service code has been deleted.

	L8620	
	
New Codes

Effective for dates of services on or after January 1, 2006, the following service codes have been added.

	L8623
	L8624
