Background

Long-Term-Care Facility Bulletin 68, dated July 1999, explained how 
requests for payment of funeral and burial expenses are handled. 
Attached to this bulletin was a directory of Department of Transitional 
Assistance Offices (TAOs) and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) 
regional offices (revised July 19, 1999). In December 1999, Long-Term-
Care Facility Bulletin 69 transmitted an updated directory of TAOs and 
SSI regional offices (dated December 1, 1999). 

Updated Directory

Attached to this bulletin is an updated list of TAOs and SSI regional 
offices, dated May 15, 2000. Please note: The five SSI regional offices 
(Fall River, Revere, Roslindale, Springfield, and Worcester) are colocated 
in the TAO in the five respective cities. 

Please refer to Long-Term-Care Facility Bulletin 68 for instructions on 
handling requests for payment of funeral and burial expenses.
