Overview of Adaptive kayaking at DAR State Forest
Join All Out Adventures for weekly kayaking on Upper Highland Lake. Explore the shoreline and keep an eye out for wildlife. Adaptations and staff support are available. Tandem boats, pontoons, and seats with head and side support are some of our most popular adaptations. Paddlers and lifeguards go out together as a group, and move at the pace of the slowest paddler. Each kayaking session lasts for an hour.
This program is for people with disabilities, along with their family and friends.
If you would like to explore DAR State Forest after your paddle, you can enjoy accessible fishing platforms, an accessible trail along the lake, and a swim beach with a floating beach wheelchair.
