Overview of Adaptive skating at Asiaf Memorial Rink in Brockton

A young child is sitting in an ice sled in front of a small hockey net, holding a small hockey stick in each hand. The sled has handles on the back. The child is wearing a helmet and laughing.
Fees: Free, but pre-registration is required.

This adaptive skating program takes place during public skating time, on a separate section of the rink. You can lace up a pair of conventional skates or slide around the ice on your manual or power wheelchair. Ice sleds are also available to glide around—propel yourself with small hockey sticks or be pushed around the rink by a friend. Grab a hockey stick and practice gently passing a puck around!

Ice sleds, skate walkers, helmets, and ice skates are available for use, free of charge.
