Overview of Adaptive skating at Asiaf Memorial Rink in Brockton

A young skater wearing a colorful helmet is standing in the foreground holding her arms out for balance. A skate walker is in front of her, and a staff member is standing behind her. They are both smiling at the camera. Behind them, two other skaters skate around a small hockey net.
Fees: Free, but pre-registration is required.

This adaptive skating program takes place during public skating time, on a separate section of the rink. You can lace up a pair of conventional skates or slide around the ice on your manual or power wheelchair. Ice sleds are also available to glide around—propel yourself with small hockey sticks or be pushed around the rink by a friend. Grab a hockey stick and practice gently passing a puck around!

Ice sleds, skate walkers, helmets, and ice skates are available for use, free of charge.
