Overview of Attend Buy Smart! Buy Recycled: How to Create a Buy Recycled Policy and Purchase Materials with Recycled Content

Julia Wolfe from the Operational Services Division will provide an overview of environmentally preferred purchasing, highlight items on Statewide Contract that contain recycled content, and discuss how to find common recycling-related items, such as bins and Pay-As-You-Throw (PAYT) bags. Having a Buy Recycled Policy (BRP) is a minimum eligibility requirement for any municipality applying for a MassDEP Sustainable Materials Recovery Program (SMRP) Grant.
