The State Library invites you to our next Author Talk to hear Amber Moulton, author of The Fight for Interracial Marriage Rights in Antebellum Massachusetts. Her book "chronicles a grassroots movement to overturn the state’s ban on interracial unions that culminated in the repeal of Massachusetts’ interracial marriage ban in 1843."

Dr. Moulton currently directs the research program at the Unitarian Universalist Service Committee, a human rights nonprofit in Cambridge, Mass. that raises awareness about critical human rights issues.  She holds both a Master's Degree in History and a Ph.D. in African-American History from Harvard University.
