This program is for people with disabilities, along with their families, caregivers, and friends.

Sign up for kayaking with Waypoint Adventure to learn new skills and gain self-confidence. Work as a group to reach goals and have tons of fun! Enjoy the fun and serenity of the water all while being a part of a supportive community. Benefit from the wide array of adaptive kayaking equipment designed to meet your individual needs. Waypoint Adventure’s highly trained staff will instruct, support, and encourage you as you learn new skills or further develop your existing ones. This kayaking program will be custom designed to fit the needs of you and your group.

This session is an introductory level program for paddlers of all ages. This type of session could have the following qualities based on the enrollment of the group: (1) It could consist of individuals who are brand new to the sport of kayaking. They've either never been kayaking, never been in or around water, or have only had the experience a few times. (2) It could consist of individuals who are at a beginner level when it comes to social interaction, have a need for repetition of instructions, or would benefit from a 1:1 support. (3) It could consist of kayakers under the age of 16. Trips may be a shorter distance of paddling (approximately 2 miles), shorter in duration (approximately 2 hours), and/or have a higher staff/volunteer to participant ratio.

You will also need to meet our essential eligibility criteria for paddling and fill out a UAP release form, as well as a release form for Waypoint Adventure.
