Massachusetts Technical Rescue Coordinating Council

In accordance with the provisions of M.G.L. c. 30A § 20, notice is hereby given of a meeting of the Massachusetts’ Technical Rescue Coordinating Council.  The meeting will be held on Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. in Boards and Commissions Room A101, at the Department of Fire Services, State Road, Stow, MA.

The meeting will be held on Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. in Boards and Commissions Room A101, at the Department of Fire Services, State Road, Stow, MA.

  1. Meeting Opening and Introductions 
  2. Approval of the minutes of the previous meeting held on September 19, 2019
  3. New Business
    1. Discuss the vision of Technical Rescue across the Commonwealth
    2. Discuss roles and responsibilities for administrative assistance from DFS and funding.
    3. Discuss adopting NFPA 1670, Standard on Operations and Training for Technical Search and Rescue Incidents.
    4. Discuss adopting NFPA 1006, Standard for Technical Rescue Personnel Professional Qualifications.
    5. Discuss the formation of steering committees and distribution of existing regional map.
  4. Old Business
    1. Review surveys template distributed to District Team Leaders.
  5. Any matters not reasonably anticipated by the Chair.
  6. Future agenda items
  7. Determination of future meeting dates
