A pavilion with a wide roof sits in a grassy field dusted with snow. The pavilion has a concrete pad and path leading up to it. An ice rink is set up under the roof.
Fees: Free, but pre-registration is required.

Nothing says winter quite like outdoor ice skating! Join us Fridays for adaptive skating under the new pavilion at this beautiful state park. Enjoy adaptive skating and snowshoeing excursions and warm up by the fireplace in the accessible visitors’ center. Bring your own skates or use an ice sled move yourself across the ice with small hockey sticks, or be pushed around the rink by a friend. Skate walkers, helmets, snowshoes, and ice grippers are also available.

You will need to pre-register by calling Jackie at (413) 577-3840 or emailing jackie.brown@mass.gov. You will also need to meet our essential eligibility criteria for winter outdoor programs and fill out a release formIf you would like to skate standing up, you will need to bring your own ice skates. Please come dressed warmly for winter temperatures, which may be as low as 10 degrees Fahrenheit.
