Overview of Reducing Flood Risk Through Local Actions: Central and Western Mass

The Massachusetts Executive Office of Economic Development (EOED) will host an online engagement session to inform development of a Local Floodplain Action Guide, a guide to assist cities and towns in taking impactful zoning, administrative, and other local actions to promote flood-resilient construction. Municipal staff and board members, elected officials, regional planning agencies, community-based organizations, stakeholders, and members of the public are invited to join and contribute. The focus of this session will be inland flood risk, particularly flood risk in Central and Western Massachusetts.
This event is one in a series of online sessions being held in collaboration with the Massachusetts Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs (EEA), Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR), and Office of Coastal Zone Management (CZM).
