SRTS Summit: Elevate your SRTS Program
The Massachusetts Safe Routes to School Summit has two attendance options: the first option includes full-day learning with two field activities while the second option is a mid-day lunch and learn session.
Full-Day Learning: Spend the day with the Massachusetts Safe Routes to School (SRTS) team as well as local and national SRTS experts. We will review the SRTS Program offerings and focus on how students interact with the built environment while traveling to school, specifically during school arrival/dismissal times. The field activities will be a morning walk audit and an afternoon dismissal observation. Both activities will share tools to elevate SRTS initiatives at your school to create a sustainable SRTS program.
Lunch and Learn: Increase your knowledge of traffic calming measures and how they can be used around the school zone. We will provide specific examples of effective tools used by schools and municipalities. Additionally, the local law enforcement in Maynard will share what works in their community.
