Overview   of Women's Economic Empowerment Series (Greater Springfield Area)

Women's Economic Empowerment Series

The Women’s Economic Empowerment Series is a financial empowerment workshop to help women gain the tools to secure their economic future and reach their full financial potential. Join us for this FREE series and participate in high-quality financial education workshops and unique salary negotiation training. This is a project of Massachusetts State Treasurer’s Office, in partnership with Strategic Alliances and Nonprofit Management and Philanthropy at Bay Path University. The WEES program is made possible by a grant from Citizens Bank.

This program is for women of all ages, ethnicities, economic backgrounds, and levels of fiscal knowledge. Participants who attend these workshops will learn:

  • Identity Theft 101
  • Tackling Student Debt
  • Understanding How to Manage your Debt
  • Budgeting Basics

Each night, participants can choose between two tracks: salary negotiation or financial education. While the salary negotiation workshop remains the same both nights, the financial education curriculum changes to cover four separate topics. The first session offers workshops on budgeting and banking while the second session offers workshops on retirement and estate planning.

This program is aimed at targeting issues around women’s economic disparities, including the gender wage gap. Visit www.EqualPayMA.com to learn more about wage equality.
