Guide MyTimesheet Electronic Visit Verification System

MassHealth members receiving Personal Care Attendant (PCA) services and their PCAs will soon be able to monitor their PCA hours at home and on the go, using a new mobile, web-based application known as MyTimesheet and the Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) System.

General Information

MyTimesheet

  • Is an easy-to-use, clock-in and clock-out tool
  • Gives MassHealth PCA members (consumers) the ability to review PCA services at their convenience
  • Is eco-friendly as it replaces the need for paper timesheets and save natural resources

After its implementation, MyTimesheet will

  • Enhance consumer control and self-direction of services through real-time notifications and reminders about  their services;
  • Streamline the administration of services; and
  • Fulfill the federal 21 Century Cures Act, which requires state Medicaid program to implement MyTimesheet for personal care services.

MassHealth remains committed to creating a timekeeping system that

  • Ensures protection of consumer choice and control;
  • Addresses the “digital divide” that limits consumer access to consistent internet connections, smartphones, and tablets; and
  • Incorporates broad consumer and PCA feedback on the design, training materials, and training opportunities.

Listening Sessions on EVV

MassHealth hosted listening sessions around the state in 2017 to share information about the MyTimesheet program and hear stakeholder feedback. MassHealth will update these pages as additional listening sessions are scheduled. If you are unable to attend a listening session or would like to send input by email, please contact EVVfeedback@State.MA.US.

PCA Program

The PCA Program is a MassHealth program that helps people with permanent or chronic disabilities keep their independence, stay in the community, and manage their own personal care by providing funds to hire personal care attendants (PCAs). The PCA consumer (the person receiving PCA services) is the employer of the PCA, and is fully responsible for recruiting, hiring, scheduling, training, and, if necessary, firing PCAs.
